What is Medium Duty Racking
Medium Duty Racking is a type of shelving unit with a load capacity of 300 kg to 800 kg per level. The height of the medium-duty racking can be adjusted based on the hole spacing of 50mm on the uprights, accommodating the storage needs of items of varying heights.
Medium Duty Steel Shelving is commonly used to store extended steel pipes, wood, timber, and oversized objects.

Medium Duty Racking: Components
Column Piece: Made from high-quality Q235 cold-rolled steel, the uprights, along with diagonal and horizontal braces, provide up to 800 kg of load-bearing capacity for each shelf level.
Beam: The thickened beam (up to 2mm thick) connects to the uprights via a hook system, and the beam height can be adjusted up or down in 50mm increments.
Shelf Board: Typically made of slats or wire mesh, the shelf board is placed on the beams to ensure more stable placement of goods.
Side Panel/Side Net: Installed on the column pieces of the medium-duty racking to prevent goods from rolling and falling.
Back Panel/Back Net: Installed at the back of the shelf to prevent goods from falling off the rear of the shelf.
Base Plate: Connects the uprights to the floor with high-quality expansion bolts, fixing the medium-duty racking and preventing them from shifting.
Extra Levels Add Versatility to Medium Duty Racking System
Medium Duty Racking’s straightforward structure allows the warehouse to be extended up to 3m in height, Typically, the total height of the shelves is around 2.5 meters. and extended to a maximum length with several load levels. you can assemble as many units as you need for medium and light loads. Adding as many additional levels as necessary is also possible by adjusting the medium-duty racking’s height every 38.1mm . Generally, 30 Extra Levels can be added.

Safety Pins: Ensuring that the beams do not disengage due to external forces, providing additional stability and safety for the shelves.
Footplates: Thickened 3mm footplates effectively prevent column deviation or sliding, ensuring the stability of the shelves and operator safety.
Diagonal Braces: Generally in Z-shaped or X-shaped configurations, connecting between medium duty racking columns to reduce lateral deformation and sway.
Horizontal Braces: One-piece design connecting the columns, increasing the overall torsional strength and stability of the shelves.
Design Source and Craftsmanship
Our medium duty racking design strictly follows the standards of the logistics industry and complies with the provisions of GB/T 18354-Logistics Terminology and WB/T 1042-2012 Shelf Terminology.
We conducted exhaustive testing and verification of the mechanical properties of the columns and steel laminates. The bolts used to connect the shelves comply with the specifications of Chapter 6 of GB/T 3098.1-2010, and their strength is not less than level 4.8.
