Components of Pallet Live Storage

Pallet live storage consists of serval components. It is a high-density storage system. In pallet live racking, there is a slope between 3% and 4%, by which pallets move with gravity. In this scenario, speed can be handled nicely.

Pallet live storage consists of the following main components:

Upright frames: It is one of the basic components. It has a piece of the frame. These are attached to the floor area for strong and sturdy support.

Split rollers: Split rollers make easy movement of operations for forklifts. It is installed at the loading and unloading areas of the live pallet racking.

How Does Pallet Live Storage Work

By using the first in, first out (FIFO) principle, the pallet live storage system allows fast handling of goods and also simplifies pallet selection. Pallets are placed in storage lanes at the loading side. After that, it automatically rolls forward on a sloping wheel with the help of gravity force. Speed is controlled by brake rollers.

On another side for unloading or retrieval face, the load separator and end stop play a vital role in handling goods. It is used to avoid unnecessary internal operational tasks.

Pallet live storage requires a minimum of two forklifts, one for loading and the other one for unloading. Due to this, it avoids the unnecessary point-to-point movement of pallets too.

Roller pallet racking consists of roller channels with a slope, that is usually between 3% and 4%. This racking system saves up to 60% more storage space than other pallet racking systems.
