Basic Configuration of Radio Pallet System

Racking Unit with 1 Aisle Configuration
Best for warehouses with a single racking system with front entry to the aisle. It suits heavy-loaded pallets managed through the LIFO inventory system.
Racking Units with 1 Aisle Configuration
In this configuration, pallet shuttles work in two racking units opposite each other and have the same single aisle. This is also used for the LIFO method, but it allows you to keep more stocks than the previous configuration.
Aisles Configuration
Radio shuttle racking also works perfectly for single units with two aisles. For example, one aisle in the front and one at the back, in between lies the racking system. Using this configuration with a radio shuttle lets you quickly keep incoming and outgoing inventory from both sides. Also, this is an excellent configuration if you have a running inventory and use the FIFO method to manage it.

Radio Shuttle System Working Principle

The radio warehouse shuttle system is unique and easy. It begins when the operator gets the pallet numbers to store in the shuttle racking system. First, the operator brings the shuttle car and keeps it on the rails of the storage row with the help of a forklift machine.

In the next step, the forklift operator brings the pallet and carefully loads it over the shuttle car. At this moment, the basic work of the forklift is finished. Moreover, in this entire process, the forklift does not enter the racking system.

Then the operator uses the remote control to keep all the pallets in their assigned positions by repeating the same method. To ensure no collision between the pallets of the radio shuttle racking system, the sensor stops the shuttle car at a well-defined distance. The operator uses the same process in reverse for unloading pallets from the picking point.
