Light Duty Rack Components

Uprights: High-quality Q235 cold-rolled steel is used as the raw material. Hole spacing at 50mm intervals.

Beam: High-quality P-shaped structural beams, with thickened ends (thickness 1.5-2mm), are welded with column clips at both ends to connect to the columns, providing stronger support for the goods.

Shelf Boards: Shelf boards are constructed by welding pressed steel plates and are placed on the beams. They are reinforced with three to four Reinforcement ribs. The height of the shelf boards can be adjusted up or down in multiples of 50mm for convenient placement of goods of different sizes and heights.

Bracing (Diagonal and Horizontal Braces): These are typically Z-shaped or X-shaped and are connected to the columns through welded angle irons. The combination of horizontal and diagonal bracing helps reduce the deformation of the shelving and increases overall torsional stability.

The bolts used to connect the shelving, by the specifications of Chapter 6 of GB/T 3098.1—2010, possess a minimum strength grade of 4.8.

Shelf Boards: High-quality Q235 steel boards, welded with pressed edges, are exceptionally sturdy and durable. Each shelf board can support a maximum load of 300kg.

Reinforcements: Below each shelf board, 3-4 reinforcements are welded through electric welding and rolling, significantly enhancing the load-bearing capacity of the shelf and making it more stable for holding goods.

Angle Irons: Thickened high-quality angle irons are securely attached to the uprights through excellent carbon dioxide gas welding technology at one end and tightly connected to cross braces and diagonal braces through high-quality bolts at the other end.

Diagonal Braces: Made of high-quality steel pipes, these effectively restrain lateral deformation of the shelving. The triangular structure not only increases the overall rigidity of the shelf but also prevents distortion of the shelving under heavy loads or external forces.

Cross Braces: Similarly constructed with high-quality steel pipes, these substantially enhance the shelf’s stability in the horizontal direction and its resistance to torsion, reducing the likelihood of shelf deformation due to heavy goods.

Welded Base Angles: Angle irons welded at the base of the uprights can be anchored to the ground using expansion screws. These base angles not only distribute pressure between the ground and the shelf, preventing deformations or movement at the bottom of the shelf but also provide some anti-slip functionality, ensuring that the shelf is less prone to sliding on the floor, further enhancing its stability on the ground.

Is it feasible to install the light-duty shelves independently?

  1. Assemble column pieces: Secure cross braces and diagonal braces to the upright columns using screws (units with cross braces and diagonal braces directly welded to the uprights skip this step).
  2. Install beams: Begin from the bottom, inserting one end of each beam into the holes in the upright columns. Shelf height can be adjusted in 50mm increments.
  3. Place shelf boards: Smoothly position the shelf boards into the slots of the beams.
  4. Secure the columns: Utilize expansion screws to fasten the welded base angles to the floor. E. Calibration and adjustment: After installing all components, perform the final calibration and adjustment to ensure that the shelves are level, vertical, and securely positioned.
